Claire Robbie is a New Zealand-based journalist and television news presenter. She has been practicing yoga and teaching meditation for over 15 years and has found that these ancient tools have enhanced her life in ways she never could have imagined. She combines her learnings with personal experience from her own meditation practice and uses it to teach from the heart in an accessible and practical way. Her ultimate goal is to make meditation accessible to as many as possible.

She has trained and continues to study with some of the world’s leading teachers in the field. She teaches in the lineage of Advaita Vedanta and is currently completing a year-long program in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Mate. Her teaching has also been heavily influenced by the likes of Michael Brown, Graham Mead, and Eckhart Tolle. She is constantly travelling the world, leading retreats and telling her stories, and is the founder of a pro-mindfulness initiative called No Beers? Who Cares!

I teach an awareness-based meditation practice with a foundation in the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, or non-dualism. Once you have done this course, it’s the beginning of a much deeper relationship with yourself, with support from me.

Friday, 29th November, 4pm to 7pm:  Easing in:  Introduction to Claire and Meditation

Claire stumbled upon yoga 15 years ago but it wasn’t until she went through some massive emotional upheavals in her life that she began to see how these practices can help us ease life’s storms and make the good times, even better. In the past decade mediation and yoga have helped her navigate a divorce, reset her relationship with alcohol, help her understand and find grace in Motherhood and been incredible tools in her high-pressure work as a TV presenter and reporter. Claire will share these experiences and then guide us through a simple meditation.
